These two were our latest assignment and focused more on research-- I really enjoyed drawing the galleons !!

And a quick 20 minute study for our next assignment 8 ) 

Day and Night paintings

Did this one first and liked how it came out a lot more than the day time one sighs. Both took about 7-8 hours each day of the weekend lmao.

I used a different method of blocking the colours in semi opaquely and then building from there since the fog covered some things and so it ended up less opaque and more..gross........

Ahhh these were all so rushed (sorta minus the pan but even that is super sketchy ;__;) Gotta work harder this semester!! There were also more but they were just old in class exercises so they were pretty gross too v__v;;

Still Life Gouache Paintings

Study was done before my trip-- my mom had some really nice, weird looking paperweights and I'm so frustrated I chose that because it's not at all recognizable. Also the scan and shadows came out weird.
I'm so embarassed about the final one because I had to finish it in the weekend I came back so it was ummm a total of around 7-8 hours? The cloth was supposed to be white and lacey. So I kind of-- made it up. Pretty happy how the candle and the candle holder came out though?? One step at a time I guess /sighs

Also first time this whole year using opaque style of painting but I found if I mixed enough colour, that it wasn't so bad!! (Until I needed brown. Jesus it's hard to make variations of brown.)

Also is anyone having troubles just uploading files from your computer files or anything?? It says I can upload jpg, png and whatever else but there's no upload button or anything 8'( (Maybeit'sbecauseofIE.)

Cool and Warm Studies

Look at me trying to be all productive HAAHahaha--
Uhh 15-20 minute one layer colour sketches in Photoshop (for once). It first started with trying to make a cool looking desert but yeah-- instead of cheating and playing with multiply and overlay and other effects I actually colour picked everything by hand which was a first for me! Definitely gotta work on it, but baby steps!
Funny how I'm not even using these ones for the final painting HA H A H  A  ....

Lip Studies

Everyone seems to be posting their studies and I did this yesterday so decided why not haha--
I've found that lately I've been having issues with painting lips and so I decided to grab some models off Google and practice with them;; Each probably took around 10-15 minutes.

This is the one I'm going with ahhh. The colours look a lot more washed out on my laptop though so-- cries.

Quick doodle during his lecture that I didn't like haha. He's literally being decoded but ehh. Was still getting used to Photoshop.

I haven't used Photoshop in almost three years so it was a bit weird getting the hang of it again but it's gotten a lot nicer! I didn't like the first one (decoded one) so I restarted halfway through class and doodled the other one in maybe an hour and a half..?
I'll probably finish this whenever I have spare time 'cuz I FINALLY got the CS6 suite on my laptop yayyy.

Digital paint experiment

Quick blocked in painting while I was on the phone with this credit card activator guy HAHA;; I wanted to play with colour and the lighting because Florian had give me some really nice tips but I don't think the twilight lighting really came out. Took about an hour and a half? I really don't know how I'll even try to replicate this much in gouache.
